Season Over for Bill Wolfe in Milwaukee Friday, July 18th , 1958 Bill Wolfe will soon find out from his doctors if his season will continue. The first diagnosis was not too positive and indicated the Milwaukee first baseman could miss the remainder of the year. Wolfe was injured while running the bases in the Dairymen-Knickerbockers clash at Milwaukee Municipal Stadium recently. Doctors said he has a ruptured medial collateral ligament and would be out a minimum of 6-7 months. So far this year, Wolfe is batting .267 with 1 home run and 7 RBIs. |
