Houston Whitewashed by Zamora Tuesday, April 10th, 1951 In an outstanding outing, Chicago Hawks starter Bernie Zamora tamed the Houston Drillers with a 5-hit shutout at Hyde Park Stadium today. The Chicago hurler went the distance, finishing with 11 strikeouts and 3 walks in the 6-0 win. "He had a lot of first-pitch strikes and kept us off balance with a lot of off-speed stuff," according to Houston manager Steven Palps. "We just didn't get too many balls squared up today."
