Players-Only Meeting 'Didn't Work': Reynolds Thursday, May 3rd, 1951 Dick Reynolds of the St. Louis Explorers said a recent players-only meeting held by Phil Mellon "didn't work" and may have been more of a distraction than anything. "We know we're not playing good baseball right now, we don't need to hear it from one of the players," he said. "I know Mellon means well, but I think there are probably some guys who are more upset now than they were before we had that meeting." |
