Albrecht Stops Baltimore
Tuesday, May 12th, 1953
The Baltimore Lords were almost helpless today in their 3-0 loss to the Toronto Hurons and hurler Kent Albrecht. Albrecht kept the Lords confused all game, spinning a 8-hit shutout.

"Tip your hat to Albrecht," Baltimore manager Jordan Wells said in his postgame interview. "He kept us off balance all night."

The 24-year-old right-hander had 3 walks and 3 strikeouts in a strong performance.

"It just happened to be one of those games where even when I made mistakes, they either fouled them off or someone would make a fine defensive play," Albrecht said. "It was just one of those games that things went my way."

On his stats sheet this season Albrecht shows a 2-2 record, 6 starts, 50.2 innings, 23 strikeouts and a 3.73 ERA.
