It was a parade of hits for Tim Foster of the New York Empires at LaSalle Stadium today.

Connecting almost every time he went to the plate, Foster finished the day with a total of 5 hits in 6 at-bats. His strong individual effort propelled the Empires to a 12-9 victory.

"Foster was really good and we were really bad," groaned Habitants manager John Trausch. "Next time he's that hot, we'll just walk him."

Tim Foster singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, grounded out in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Walt Gardner in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
