Great Week for Cincinnati's Ralph King Monday, May 30th, 1955 So far in his young career, Ralph King has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the National Baseball League in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 25-year-old Cincinnati Packers first baseman hit at a torrid .500 clip as he collected 12 hits in 24 at-bats, 4 home runs, 10 RBIs and 8 runs scored. This year King has batted at a .345 pace with 59 hits, 11 home runs, 36 RBIs and scored 32 times. |
