Season May Be Over for Lords Pardoe
Tuesday, May 9th , 1967
The doctors have spoken and John Pardoe of the Baltimore Lords didn't like what he heard. The 24-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Pardoe sustained his season-ending injury during the Boston Terriers game yesterday at Atlantic Avenue Grounds. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Baltimore medical staff reported Pardoe had a ruptured elbow ligament and would be absent from the lineup for at least 9 months.

For the year Pardoe has compiled a 1-2 record with a 2.11 ERA.
