Hurons Shut Out by Crain, 4-0 Tuesday, May 23rd , 1967 Jay Crain of the Detroit Wolverines put on a dazzling performance at Wolverine Field today. He shut out the Toronto Hurons 4-0 on a well-pitched 4-hitter, ringing up 4 strikeouts and issuing no walks. "I felt strong out there all day," Crain said later. This season Crain has a 4-1 mark in 8 starts with a 3.69 ERA. He has given up 52 hits in 53.2 innings, struck out 27 and issued 9 walks.
