Dairymen Take It on Chin, Lose, 13-0, to Washington Tuesday, June 12th , 1962 In an outstanding mound performance, Washington Rough Riders starter Chuck Porter fired a complete-game shutout against the Milwaukee Dairymen at Monument Field today. Porter was the key to the Rough Riders's 13-0 win. The 29-year-old left-hander was in high spirits on the mount for much of the game, his mood largely undented by the 4 hits and 3 walks he allowed. "4 hits?" he said with a laugh following the game. "Listen, I'd be happy with a 30-hitter as long as it was a shutout." This year Porter has compiled a 6-3 record with a 3.15 ERA in 12 starts.
