Rutherford Pitches 1-0 Shutout for Brooklyn Sunday, August 22nd , 1965 Brooklyn Bluebirds hurler Damon Rutherford logged a 2-hit, complete game shutout over the Dairymen, stopping them 1-0 at Milwaukee Municipal Stadium today. "I felt great out there," Rutherford said in his postgame interview. "After the second or third inning, I got real comfortable. Hopefully this is a building block for me. I'd love a few more starts like this." He rung up 2 strikeouts and gave up no walks in the performance. For the season Rutherford has compiled a 11-8 record with a 2.41 ERA.
