New York Beats Pittsburgh as Espinoza Throws 3-0 Shutout Sunday, June 24th , 1962 Jose Espinoza of the New York Knickerbockers overwhelmed the Pittsburgh Industrials and walked off the mound with a complete-game shutout. He blanked them 3-0 on 5 hits with a total of 6 strikeouts and 2 walks. "Jose was on quite a roll," New York manager William Bowen said.
