New York Beats Pittsburgh as Espinoza Throws 3-0 Shutout

Jose Espinoza of the New York Knickerbockers overwhelmed the Pittsburgh Industrials and walked off the mound with a complete-game shutout. He blanked them 3-0 on 5 hits with a total of 6 strikeouts and 2 walks.
"Jose was on quite a roll," New York manager William Bowen said. "He gets great late movement and he doesn't give in to the hitters."
To date this season, Espinoza has a record of 7 wins and 5 losses and a 3.45 ERA. He has appeared in 16 games and struck out 73 in 125.1 innings.
