Marshall Shines, Shuts Out Toronto, 3-0
Tuesday, April 24th, 1956
Nate Marshall hurled a fine game for the Baltimore Lords at Seton Hill Stadium today, holding the Toronto Hurons to 5 hits in a shutout win.
"When he started out, his command wasn't that good, but he's a tough guy," Baltimore manager Jordan Wells said. "The more pitches he throws, the better his command is."
The right-hander had 3 strikeouts and 1 walk in the 3-0 victory.
"An outstanding job," Toronto manager Jim Burns said. "We couldn't get anything going. Every time we got a hit, he got out of the jam. He pitched a terrific game."
