Houston Comes up Empty Against Catto

Bruce Catto held the Houston Drillers to 3 hits and fashioned a fine 6-0 shutout at Sam Houston Field today.

Speaking after the game, Montreal Habitants manager Dan Whiting said "Catto had everything going for him today."

He changed speeds effectively, stayed down, had a lot of movement," he said. "He was masterful."

Catto rung up 2 strikeouts and surrendered 2 walks in the game.

"We couldn't get anything going. He certainly had our number," Houston manager Steven Palps told reporters.

In 15 starts this season Catto has fashioned a 7-7 record and a 2.71 ERA.
