Los Angeles Advances to World Series
Sunday, October 8th , 1961
The Los Angeles Pobladores triumphed 3-2 over the Baltimore Lords at Seton Hill Stadium in the League Championship Series to capture it 4-1.

The victory advanced the Pobladores to the World Series.

For his superb play in the series, Pobladores third baseman Bill Fulton garnered the series MVP trophy, hitting .391, scoring 3 runs and batting in 4.

"Only thing better than getting MVP for winning in the playoffs would be winning MVP for winning in the World Series," Fulton said later. "I'll get to work on that."

The Los Angeles Pobladores don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Cincinnati Packers - Cleveland Bobcats series. Cincinnati leads the series 3 games to 2. The World Series schedule will be announced after the League Championship Series finishes.
