Monday, June 18th, 1956
According to BNN there were mixed emotions by the players involved in the trade between the Los Angeles Pobladores and the St. Louis Explorers. As part of the deal, the Pobladores swapped a 3rd round draft pick to the Explorers getting 31-year-old C Walter Marshall in return. The players indicated it was good to get a fresh new start in another city, but it was difficult to leave your friends on the old team.

Currently Marshall is batting .302 with 16 hits and no home runs. He has knocked in 6 runs and scored 3 times.
