Big Month for ABL Rookie Monday, June 1st , 1964 Youngster Booker Lee emerged as the latest American Baseball League Rookie of the Month today. The young man from Detroit deserved the honor, batting .319 with 1 home run and 7 runs batted in. Is the month of May a harbinger of things to come or just a fluke? We'll find out someday, but for now, we'll just let Lee enjoy the limelight. In his 1964 season totals, Lee has 1 home run, .329 BA, .389 OBP, 9 RBIs and 8 runs scored. |
