Taylor Pitches Hawks to Shutout Victory Wednesday, June 3rd , 1964 Carl Taylor of the Chicago Hawks was cool and collected on the mound, leading his club to a shutout victory over the Los Angeles Pobladores, 5-0. "He was mixing his pitches real well and keeping his composure on the mound," Chicago manager Mike Flaherty said later. "When Carl does that, good things happen."
