Taylor Pitches Hawks to Shutout Victory

Carl Taylor of the Chicago Hawks was cool and collected on the mound, leading his club to a shutout victory over the Los Angeles Pobladores, 5-0.
"He was mixing his pitches real well and keeping his composure on the mound," Chicago manager Mike Flaherty said later. "When Carl does that, good things happen."
The left-hander had 5 strikeouts, 1 walk and allowed 1 hit in the win.
So far this year Taylor has compiled a 2-5 record with a 5.67 ERA.
