NBL's #1 Player, Bryan of Pittsburgh Monday, June 8th , 1964 His hard work and hustle paid off this week. The hard-working and hard-playing Hillyer Bryan was rewarded with the National Baseball League Player of the Week honors. The scrappy Pittsburgh Industrials right fielder hit .483 while collecting 14 hits in 29 at-bats, 1 home run and 4 RBIs. So far in 1964 Bryan is batting .368 with 4 home runs, 20 RBIs and 21 runs scored. He has 60 hits in 163 at-bats and a .416 OBP. |
