Habitants Gaynor Suffers Setback Tuesday, July 1st , 1958 Just when it looked like Mark Gaynor would soon return to the Montreal Habitants, the starting pitcher suffered yet another setback in his recovery from back spasms. According to his doctors, treatment was progressing well until yesterday, when Gaynor experienced quite a bit of pain during a workout. Further examination revealed he had caused more damage and would now be out of action for at least one week. So far in 18 appearances this season, Gaynor has recorded 2 wins and sustained 2 losses. He has pitched 22.1 innings, yielded 18 hits, fanned 19 and has a 3.63 ERA. |
