3 Boomers for Hill Friday, July 4th , 1958 It was a good day for the Milwaukee Dairymen and an exceptional one for Bingham Hill. The 24-year-old catcher sent three bombs out of the park to help the Dairymen beat the Kansas City Bulls 5-4 at Independence Field. "When you're in the zone, the game really slows down," Hill said when asked about his performance later. "I couldn't even tell you what pitches were thrown. Today feels great, but it is a long season and tomorrow is another day." For the day, he scored 3 times, drove in 4 runs and smacked 3 hits in 4 at-bats. Bingham Hill hit a solo-shot off Stan Cox in the 2nd, struck out in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Stan Cox in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Stan Cox in the 9th.
