Shadwell Skunks Seattle, 5-0 Tuesday, May 3rd , 1966 It wasn't easy but Thornton Shadwell made it look that way. Shadwell silenced the Seattle Emeralds, 5-0, in a Houston Drillers triumph at Puget Field today. Despite the appearance of dominance, Shadwell said later that he felt like he was struggling all game. He gave up no walks and 6 hits. "It didn't feel quite right today, but I made the decision to bear down and work through it," he said.
