EBL Star of the Week Honored Monday, July 16th , 1962 This week's Player of the Week was Jeff McCarthy of the Indianapolis Hoosiers. His big bat belted and blasted Eastern Baseball League pitching for 14 hits in 27 at-bats, no home runs and 4 RBIs while hitting .519 and scoring 6 runs. This season McCarthy is batting .341 with 44 RBIs, 40 runs scored and 8 home runs. |
