Hoosiers Ron Price Wins EBL Award Monday, August 13th , 1962 The Player of the Week has been announced by the Eastern Baseball League. The award went to Ron Price, second baseman of the Indianapolis Hoosiers. He dominated league pitchers with a .462 average to win the honor. Price went 18-for-39 for the week, totaled 2 home runs with 9 RBIs and scored 12 times.
