EBL Names Red Wings Wishert Winner Monday, August 27th , 1962 Bernie Wishert of the Rochester Red Wings had an enormous week at the plate and today was voted the Player of the Week by the Eastern Baseball League. For the week Wishert batted .400 (10-for-25) with 4 home runs and 9 RBIs. Thus far in 1962 Wishert is hitting .285 with 6 home runs, 27 RBIs, 44 runs scored and has compiled a .398 OBP. |
