Kiss Boosts Hit Streak to 20 Games Wednesday, July 18th , 1962 George Kiss of the Memphis Blues has now hit safely in 20 straight games. He socked 1 hit in today's 5-4 triumph over Tampa at Tampa FL minor league park. "20 games is a big chunk of the year, isn't it?" Kiss said to reporters. "It's hard to wrap your head around." George Kiss flied out in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, walked in the 7th and was hit by a pitch in the 9th. This year Kiss has batted at a .335 pace with 57 hits, 3 home runs, 17 RBIs and scored 22 times. |
