Muller Southern Baseball League's Hottest Hitter Monday, July 30th , 1962 Bob Muller demonstrated his potential to be a star in the game last week and today he took home the Southern Baseball League Player of the Week Award. The Miami center fielder wreaked havoc on opposing pitchers last week, pounding them for a .458 average (11-for-24) with 2 home runs and 10 RBIs on his way to claiming the honor. This season Muller is swinging the bat at a .313 rate with 107 hits in 342 at-bats. To date he has hit 18 home runs, scored 52 runs and driven in 73. |
