King of Richmond Crowned Best Player Monday, August 6th , 1962 All week long Reggie King was the toughest out in the Southern Baseball League and that is the prime reason he was voted the Player of the Week. The Richmond right fielder rapped out 12 hits in 24 at-bats for a .500 batting average, drove in 5 runs and scored 6 times. In the 1962 season King is hitting .289 with 5 home runs. |
