Triple A Placeholder of the Birmingham Barons proved the point at Jacksonville FL minor league park today, holding the Jacksonville Suns to 4 hits in a complete game shutout victory. "Placeholder made us look real bad today," Suns manager said in a postgame interview. "He was outstanding. He was down in the zone with all his pitches. Everything was sinking." Placeholder had 5 strikeouts and gave up 1 walk as the Barons took the 3-0 win. |
