HBL's Top Hitter Named Friday, June 1st , 1962 Quincy Gems fans may just have witnessed a star player blossoming before their eyes in May. Wayne Brown put up a remarkable month at the age of 24 and has been named the Heartland Baseball League Batter of the Month. For the month, Brown hit .278 with 6 home runs, 22 RBIs and 11 runs scored. So far this year Brown has hit .300 with 8 home runs, 37 RBIs and 22 runs scored. |
