Decatur's Placeholder Named HBL's Best Player Monday, August 20th , 1962 It was a marvelous week for Double A Placeholder of the Decatur Commodores. Not only did he ring up 1 win, he also captured Heartland Baseball League Player of the Week honors. Placeholder fashioned a standout 0.00 ERA, 1-0 won-lost mark and held opponents to a .129 batting average while striking out 4 in 9 innings. For the year Placeholder has compiled a 4-7 record with a 3.81 ERA. |
