Tulsa's Barry Snaps Up Player of the Week Monday, July 16th , 1962 It was announced today that Tulsa catcher Clyde Barry was selected the Lone Star Baseball League Player of the Week Award for his superb play last week. During the week he compiled a .458 batting average (11-for-24) with no home runs, 5 runs batted in and scored 5 runs. This year Barry is hitting .299 with 4 home runs and 31 RBIs in 60 games played. He also boasts an OBP of .386 with 29 walks and 27 runs scored. |
