Pittsfield's Bowman Nabs NEL Player of the Week Monday, June 4th , 1962 Pitcher Ed Bowman of the Pittsfield Electrics was the premier performer in the league last week and was voted the NEL Player of the Week. During the week the 28-year-old Bowman registered a 2-0 record with 12 strikeouts, 10 walks in 12 innings and a 0.75 ERA. So far this year Bowman has made 14 starts, tossed 80.2 innings, struck out 89 batters and walked 50. His record is 8-2 with a 2.34 ERA and he has limited opposing teams to a .199 batting average. |
