Springfield Shut Out by Lee Sunday, July 15th , 1962 Springfield dropped a 4-0 shutout to Chet Lee and the Allentown Quakers at Springfield MA minor league park today. The Rifles offered little resistance to Lee, who stopped them on 4 hits, fanned 8 and walked 6. "It just felt right today," the right-handed Lee told reporters after the win. "Even with the rain, it didn't throw me off my rhythm." So far this season Lee is batting .232 with 2 home runs, 9 RBIs and 14 runs scored. He has 22 hits in 95 at-bats, 14 walks and a .336 OBP. Lee has played in 24 games. |
