NEL Pitcher of the Year Award Winner Announced

There's less room in Ed Bowman's trophy case today after he brought home the 1962 Northeastern Baseball League Pitcher of the Year Award.

The talented Pittsfield Electrics star finished the year 18-7 with a 3.48 ERA. He struck out 193 in 199 innings while walking 113.

He received 4 first place votes out of a possible 6. Mike Speer of the Erie Sailors finished second in voting with 2 first place votes, while Hal Messinger of the Reading Railroaders finished third.
