Fresno's Oliveros Snaps Up June Batting Award Sunday, July 1st , 1962 Fresno Granjeros fans may just have witnessed a star player blossoming before their eyes in June. Alex Oliveros put up a remarkable month at the age of 22 and has been named the Gold and Silver Baseball League Batter of the Month. For the month, Oliveros hit .284 with no home runs, 12 RBIs and 10 runs scored. So far this year Oliveros is batting .279 with 6 home runs, 25 RBIs and 26 runs scored. |
