Oaks Hurler Named GSL Player of the Week Monday, July 30th , 1962 Gold and Silver Baseball League batters really got burned by Single A Placeholder this past week. The Visalia Oaks pitcher sizzled on the hill with 2 wins and no losses and an ERA of 1.20 to claim the Player of the Week Award. In 15 innings Placeholder struck out 8 and walked 8, as he held opposing hitters to a .214 average. To this point in the season, Placeholder shows a 6-6 record, 13 starts, 85.1 innings, 39 strikeouts and a 5.48 ERA. |
