GSL Pitcher of the Year Award Goes to Benjamin

Scot Benjamin was the most outstanding pitcher in the Gold and Silver Baseball League this year and today was acclaimed the Pitcher of the Year Award winner for his efforts.

Benjamin had a marvelous season, going 8-6 with an impressive 2.61 ERA in 21 starts. He struck out 150 in 145 innings and limited opposing batters to a .209 batting average.

He received 5 first place votes out of a possible 6. Steve Coomes of the Fresno Granjeros finished second in voting with 1 first place vote, while Larry Moore of the Visalia Oaks finished third.
