Single A Placeholder had an impressive outing at Lakeland FL minor league park today, hurling the Orlando Oranges to a 3-0 shutout victory over the Lakeland Pilots.

"He threw strikes and he was always around the plate," Lakeland skipper said. "The ball was doing everything he wanted it to do. We hit some balls hard, but they were all right at the fielders."

On the day, the right-handed Placeholder yielded 4 hits and tallied 5 strikeouts with 4 walks.

So far this season, Placeholder has logged a 8-5 record with a 3.70 ERA. He has started 15 games, hurled 116.2 innings and registered 48 strikeouts and 73 walks.
