Great August Gets Warren GCL Best Hitter Award Saturday, September 1st , 1962 Steve Warren put together a good August to earn the Gulf Coast Baseball League Batter of the Month prize. A virtual unknown, he made the most of his chance to prove to Pensacola officials that he belongs on the big league roster.
