Trappers Swain Wins NBL Best Hurler Honor Sunday, July 1st , 1962 Bill Swain was the best pitcher in June according to the voters. He severely shut down opposition batters to win the Northern Baseball League Pitcher of the Month Award. Grand Forks's star reliever compiled a 3-0 mark and an ERA of 1.46 in 37 innings with 30 strikeouts and no saves in no save opportunities. This year Swain has earned 0 saves, made no relief appearances, fanned 86 hitters in 101 innings and posted an ERA of 1.78 and a 6-1 record. |
