Goldeyes Get Zilch in 7-0 Loss to Dairymen, Placeholder Wednesday, August 22nd , 1962 Single A Placeholder of the Wisconsin Rapids Dairymen toyed with the Winnipeg Goldeyes today, blanking them 7-0 at Winnipeg MB minor league park. He was almost untouchable, baffling them on a 2-hit shutout with 7 strikeouts and 1 walk. "I'm sweating now because it's hot in here," Placeholder said in the clubhouse after the game. "But it didn't even feel like I was sweating out there." This season Placeholder has a 3-3 mark in 7 starts with a 4.86 ERA. He has given up 47 hits in 50 innings, struck out 25 and issued 23 walks.
