Barry Gilmore Blanks Appleton, 11-0 Wednesday, May 9th , 1962 Aberdeen Pheasants pitcher Barry Gilmore really got it done at Aberdeen SD minor league park today in his 11-0 shutout victory over the Appleton Foxes, shutting them down on 4 hits. "It was just one of those games where everything went right. I threw a lot of strikes," Gilmore said. "And the pitches they did get to hit, they didn't do anything with them." The 19-year-old issued 3 walks and had 4 strikeouts in the Pheasants win. So far this season Gilmore has a record of 2-3 with 37 strikeouts and 30 walks in 52 innings and a 3.46 ERA. |
