Placeholder Gets BSL #1 Pitcher Trophy Wednesday, August 1st , 1962 Rookie Placeholder took a much-deserved turn in the spotlight earlier today as he accepted the Big Sky Baseball League Pitcher of the Month award for July. The 18-year-old Mustangs starter is a relative newcomer to the league, but nonetheless racked up an impressive 2-1 won-lost record in 6 starts. This month he fanned 15 batters in 36 innings and compiled a 1.50 ERA. In season stats Placeholder shows a 6-3 record in 14 games, 88.1 innings, 37 strikeouts and a 2.34 ERA. |
