Quads, Young Blank Waterloo, 8-0 Friday, May 25th , 1962 Charlie Young was dynamite at Davenport IA minor league park today, blowing away the Waterloo Hawks in a shutout victory. The Davenport Quads starter had everything working as he held the Hawks to 2 hits in the 8-0 win. "He was pure nasty out there today," said Waterloo skipper . "I don't think any team in the league would've had a chance against what he was bringing." Young finished the game with 10 strikeouts and 1 walk. |
