IBL Player of the Week Goes to Bartlett of Keokuk Monday, May 29th , 1961 Like a machine, Johnny Bartlett hit the baseball with brutal efficiency last week, gaining himself the Iowa Baseball League Player of the Week title for that stretch. The Keokuk Kernels shortstop rapped out a .500 average with 11 hits in 22 at-bats, 1 home run, 6 RBI and 4 runs scored. This year Bartlett is hitting .350 with 1 home run and 18 RBIs to his credit. He has gotten on base at a .410 clip and scored 22 runs. |
