IBL's #1 Batter Chosen Saturday, July 1st , 1961 Pat Howington may be much younger than other hitters in the Iowa Baseball League, but he performed like a seasoned veteran in June to win the Batter of the Month award. The 20-year-old Keokuk center fielder hit .320 with 1 home run, 10 RBIs and 11 runs scored. During the current season Howington is batting at a .293 clip with 4 home runs and 24 RBIs. He has played in 58 games and scored 36 times. |
