PNL Trophy Goes to Groh of Salem Monday, July 2nd , 1962 This week Billy Groh, right fielder for the Salem Senators, hit his way to the Pacific Northwest Baseball League Player of the Week Award. Groh put on a hitting clinic with a .409 average as he belted and battered PNL pitchers for 9 hits in 22 at-bats, 2 home runs, 2 RBIs and scored 8 runs. For the season Groh is currently batting .335 with 13 home runs and 38 RBIs. In 69 games he has reached base at a .427 rate and scored 60 runs to date. |
