Palmer Wins Penny Player of the Week Honors
Monday, August 6th , 1962
This week Pennsylvania-New York Baseball League pitching was a feast fit for a king and Ron Palmer really made the most of it -- ripping them royally. The talented Geneva hitting machine produced a .364 batting average, 3 home runs, 8 hits in 22 at-bats, 9 RBIs and 4 runs.

That kind of hitting earned him the Penny Player of the Week honors.

Palmer has a .256 average and a .361 on-base percentage for the year. He has picked up 86 hits, 13 home runs and driven in 52 runs.
