15-K Game for Terriers Garcia Friday, April 20th , 1962 Led by an outstanding performance from starter Jose Garcia, the York Terriers topped the Wellsville Tanners today by a score of 10-2 at York PA minor league park. The 19-year-old Garcia brought his top game to the mound, striking out 15 batters while allowing 5 hits and giving up 3 walks. "He made a lot of good pitches out there," Tanners manager said. "He made some of our guys look bad. We didn't help matters, but we really have to give him credit -- he didn't make many mistakes." |
