Pobladores Come Back Late to Top Wranglers, 4-1
|
Dallas got a big-time effort from pitcher Dave Young, but it wasn't enough to keep the Los Angeles Pobladores from winning the game, 4-1. Young threw 7.0 innings of shutout ball for the losing team. With the win, Los Angeles raised its record to 79-76.
Los Angeles needed the clutch hitting of Manuel Castillo to seal the deal. The second baseman swatted a grand slam home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Pobladores on top, 4-1. For the game, Castillo had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"We're all about heart and hustle on this team. That's what wins ballgames," Castillo told the Los Angeles News.
